How to put a desktop pet on your screen
- Choose a character. Open an avatar page to see its details. Characters with motion previews also move in the gallery.
- Install Deskmate. Get the Windows or Linux app; macOS is still on the waitlist.
- Add the avatar. In the Deskmate portal, open Market, choose an avatar, and press Add avatar. You can then drag and resize it on your desktop.
Deskmate has a free starting experience, including Cardio; other avatars may be paid. Animation works separately from AI conversation. Voice needs your own supported provider key or a Deskmate Plus or Pro plan. See the setup guide and FAQ for details.
